Using character archetypes

We're currently adding support for the following archetypes in the humanoid package. This is work-in-progress - stay tuned on our Discord for an ETA.

  • Passersby: Background characters for urban games that are able to walk around, sit, stand and simulate interaction with each other. Mostly avoid the player(s).

  • Bartenders: Side characters that serve drinks behind a counter and engage in simple dialogue with the player(s).

  • Shopkeepers: Side characters that exist behind a counter, interact with objects and engage in simple dialogue with the player(s).

  • Villagers: Background characters for typical RPGs and adventure games that are able to walk around, sit, stand, simulate interaction with each other and handle simple objects such as door handles and tools.

  • Hosts: Side characters for events such as virtual conferences, galleries or shows that guide players around and provide helpful information.

Our plan is to offer a large, ever-growing library of characters that can easily be configured to cover many of the basic needs for AI characters in games and virtual worlds.

Please ping us on Discord to request additional archetypes.
